Aquatic Planting Instructions

Step 1: Carefully remove potted plants from packaging, if included, ensuring roots are exposed.

Step 2: Fill an aquatic planter with a thick layer of The Pond Guy Aquatic Planting Soil (sold separately), to around 75% full.

Step 3: Place the aquatic plant in the container and cover the roots with soil.

Step 4: Add aquatic plant fertilizer tablets to soil. Place Aquatic Planting Media over Aquatic Soil to prevent soil from washing out of your planting tub or pot and allow for the optimal surface area and conditions for beneficial bacteria to thrive. (We recommend using a 75/25 mix of the The Pond Guy Aquatic Planting Soil and Aquatic Planting Media.) If planting media is unavailable, 1-3 inch gravel may be substituted.

Step 5: Water thoroughly and fully submerge the planter in the pond.

For Best Results: Keep adding fertilizer tablets every two to four weeks during the growing season.
