How long can these lights stay on for?

You can technically leave these lights on for up to 10,000 hours. However, we recommend giving your fish and plant life some hours of darkness for them to rest and rejuvenate. Even in nature, fish and plants have 12 hours of light and 12 hours of darkness. You can use our 24-Hour Timer and set a time to switch off automatically if you are not at home or are sleeping.

Will these lights help my plants thrive?

No. This is not a full-spectrum light, but only a night light covering a brief nano space or small bowl. These LED lights are only meant for creating a soothing effect for the fish in your tank.

At most, this will only grow very low light plants such as aquatic ferns and mosses. There simply is not enough PAR for this particular light to provide sufficient light intensity in a 5-gallon tank, betta bowls, rimless, and nano tanks to grow much of anything else.
